Vascular Occlusions are a potentially severe adverse outcome that can occur when hyaluronic acid filler is accidentally injected into a blood vessel. If an occlusion goes untreated and the tissue continues to be starved of blood and oxygen, it ultimately becomes necrotic.
Using our Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber your clients will breath in almost 100% Oxygen under a pressurised enviroment. This means their body can absorb up to 16 times more Oxygen which helps flood the damaged area with Oxygen. HbOT aims to break the cycle of swelling, oxygen starvation, and tissue death. It also stimulates cells to produce certain substances, like vascular endothelial growth factor. These attract and stimulate endothelial cells needed for healing.
What happens if a Vascular Occlusion were to occur?
Upon signing up to our monthly subscription service you will receive an email with our emergency contact information and added to our private Facebook group.
Included within your subscripton, once you have contacted us, a chamber will be ready for your client to begin treatment as soon as possible should a Vascular Occlusion occur.
Please note that your client will need to complete a consultation form to be eligible to use HbOT
